Mac Lackey on the Importance of Mental Training for Soccer

Please Welcome Mac Lackey to the Team

Soccer Resilience® is excited to announce Mac Lackey as an advisor to our growing, ambitious team.

Mac is a lifetime player and fan of the game. After playing for ACC Champions Wake Forest University, Mac finished his collegiate career at Berry College where he was named to the All-America team. Mac played one season in the USL before starting his entrepreneurial career.

In his 25 years as an entrepreneur, Mac started, built up and sold six companies. Several of his companies combined his love of the game with his passion for business (including InternetSoccer which was sold to a division of News Corp, and KYCK which was sold to NBC Sports).

Mac in his own words: “Some of the greatest experiences of my life have been through the beautiful game. Amazing moments like watching Maradona play in Argentina, visiting Pele at his home in Brazil, having 50-yard line season tickets to FC Barcelona, meeting Messi, Neymar, Ronaldinho and all of those incredible experiences to simply playing in a local pickup match or juggling with friends… soccer has added so much to my life…”

“I’m such a passionate believer in soccer creating opportunities in life, however I know that one of the toughest opponents a player will ever face is their own mind. Attitude, mental fortitude and resilience are what separates the good from the great. I’m truly excited to join the team at Soccer Resilience®! We have a tremendous opportunity to impact lives and help others achieve their full potential on the pitch and in life!”
