October 11, 2022 – The depth of our Soccer Resilience® Ambassador team keeps growing and getting stronger! We’re thrilled to welcome our newest ambassador onboard, Catherine Zimmerman. Catherine plays professionally with Australian A-League side, Melbourne Victory and is an exciting addition to our team as she adds to the diversity of players, coaches and professionals that we currently have at S|R supporting mental skills development and wellbeing for soccer people around the world!
Growing up in Madison, New Jersey, Catherine fell in love with soccer and got invested in the game at a young age. During high school, she notched 50 goals and 25 assists for her school team over the four years. She also played for PDA, Player Development Academy, during this time. She attended Providence College to study psychology and play D1 soccer, where she earned several BIG EAST All-Tournament and First Team honors over the course of her time with the program.
In joining Soccer Resilience®, Catherine’s excited to use her unconventional path in the professional soccer world to help young players realize that there are many ways to achieve success – and it doesn’t all have to look like a 2 year contract to the NWSL or MLS signed straight out of college. She is excited about the opportunity to mentor and guide young players and help them navigate the mental challenges that come along with forging your own path, overcoming obstacles and following your dream.
You can find out more about Catherine through her Instagram, @catherine_zim19
Catherine’s love of the game and desire to help and serve others is exactly what we’re all about here at Soccer Resilience®. Welcome to the team Catherine!
