🔥 Your Struggle Is Not a Reflection of Your Strength 🗣

World Mental Health Day 2023

Today, on World Mental Health Day, we celebrate the importance of mental health and pledge to crush the stigma that surrounds it.

Your struggle is not a reflection of your strength! Struggling with your mental health doesn't make you weak. In fact, it's often the strongest people who struggle the most.

Strength doesn't mean a lack of struggle. It means getting through each day. It means asking for help. It means understanding your limitations and resetting your expectations during times of struggle. It means hearing the words of discouragement yet choosing not to believe them.

Mental health is important for all people, including athletes. While it's true that athletes need to stay mentally fit to perform, it's also true that athletes are human beings who face the same mental, emotional, and spiritual struggles as everyone else.

Mental health is a journey, not a destination. While some equate the term "mental health" with illness or problems, it's actually much more than that. It's something that we all work at every day. Some days are easier than others. Just like it is with your physical health.

YOU ARE NOT ALONE! If you or someone you know is struggling with their mental health, please reach out for help. There are many resources available, including the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline (988) and the Crisis Text Line (text HOME to 741741).

Together, we can break the stigma surrounding mental health and create a world where everyone feels safe and supported in seeking the help they need!
